Stereolab - Mars Audiac Quintet (1994)
- Combining elements of Krautrock, Esquivel and the Velvet Underground, Mars Audiac Quintet is an early favorite from one of the originators of the French Electro-pop genre, and a band whose influence continues to be felt today.

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream (1993) (2xCD+DVD Deluxe Edition)
- Pretty much the polar opposite of a "sophomore slump", Siamese Dream basically introduced Smashing Pumpkins to the world.. and then went on to go 4x Platinum.
One of THE classic albums of the 1990's, expanded to include demos, rehearsal takes, BBC sessions and acoustic versions. The DVD features a live performance of the band at The Metro in Chicago, recorded Aug. 14, 1993

Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest (2013)
- After a 7-year absence, Scotland's Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin return to deliver a record that picks up right where they left off; which, given a few trends in modern electronic music, makes it seem like they were just waiting for the rest of the music world to catch up with them.

Beth Orton - Sugaring Season (2012)
- Another artist to return after a long absence (6 years, during which time she almost quit making music altogether), Beth Orton's Sugaring Season is a welcome return to form for the British folk singer. Produced by Tucker Martine in Oregon, there's a timeless yet vaguely 1970's quality to the sound of this album, which is populated by lush, mostly acoustic instrumentation, including various types of acoustic guitars, piano, organ, violin and occasionally a fuller string section.

Jenny O - Automechanic (2013)

Various Artists - Southern Funkin': Louisiana Funk & Soul 1967-1979
- While most Funk and Soul collections tend to concentrate on New Orleans acts when it comes to Louisiana (with good reason), this comp avoids The Big Easy altogether by collecting lost funk and soul gems from the rest of the state. Quite a bit of it is pretty rough production-wise, but it's almost all high-quality, hip-shaking grooves, and the CD comes with a booklet full of pictures, artist and label bios, and the BGP label's usual excellent, historical-perspective-focused liner notes.

The Knack - Time Waits For No One: The Complete Recordings (1966-1967)
No, not that Knack..
