Spiritualized - Ladies & Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space (1997)
- Third album from space rockers Spiritualized. Ladies & Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space introduced elements of the blues, soul and gospel music into their sound, alongside the usual psychedelics & pedal stomping.
Mew - Frengers (2002)
- While Frengers was the Mew's US debut, it is actually the Danish Band's third album, featuring mostly re-recordings of songs from their first 2 albums. Incorporating elements of shoegaze, indie pop, dance and prog rock, to my ears, Mew lands somewhere between Muse and Sigor Ros.
The National - Trouble Will Find Me (2013)
- The National are a band I'll admit I was a bit late to the party on, but I loved their 2010 album High Violet (it was in my top 3 favorite albums that year), and I was looking forward to the follow-up with high expectations.. And Trouble Will Find Me did not disappoint. Below is the video for 2nd single "Sea of Love" as well as the full album.
The Heavy - The Glorious Dead. (2012)
- Matt Collar of allmusic.com, writes "The Heavy's third studio album, 2012's The Glorious Dead is a bombastic acid rock, funk, and blues-soaked album that sounds like the illegitimate offspring of The Black Keys and Gnarls Barkley."
Yeah.. pretty much.
